While in Nova Scotia for a conference this past summer I visited the town of Lunenburg, on the southern coast (my panoramas). Lunenburg itself is stunning, and an UNESCO world heritage site. But if you drive down a backroad behind the town, you reach tiny Stonehurst Harbor. I lucked out and a thunderstorm passed by while I was there, and a beautiful rainbow formed right over the harbor. I bracketed, and ended up with 100s of photos. In the end, I didn’t need to bracket; the auto-exposure did just fine. I did very little post-processing. The rainbow really was that bright.
