I had the good fortune to spend a few days in the Yosemite Valley this winter, to attend a workshop (nice job, organizers!). Because I took so many pictures, I’ll be posting them separately, as groups. First up are pictures of Yosemite falls taken at sunrise. I set my alarm every morning to get up well ahead of my fellow conference-goers, then trekked out into the cold morning air to capture that ideal light. The pictures here are from the 1 and only morning that wasn’t cloudy.
It had snowed slightly, at higher elevations, the night before, and the trees along the ridge line were lightly dusted. I didn’t expect the best pictures to come from zoomed-in shots of the tops of the cliffs, but that’s usually the way it goes.
