There is a forested area just behind my new apartment — classic Maryland, Blair-Witchy feel — and I went for a walk the over the weekend to check things out. I didn’t get far before I found myself ducking rapidly to avoid walking head first into these spiderwebs. Thankfully, the light was hitting them just right so they were visible. And quite pretty. The two darker photos at bottom left were taken with -1 EV, since I was worried about metering. I like the contrast it produced.
The web on the left was being built as I stood there. The spider might look fuzzy, but I assure you the little guy is in focus. Those must be his unshaven legs glistening in the sun.
