Before I moved, I made one last trip to the egret B&B in Salisbury, MA. There were two photographers already there, both with lenses that put mine to shame (one guy I had met before and talked with. He had this lens). And about 15 feet from the edge of the marsh was a beautiful Great Blue Heron. She sat there for a while, looking for fish but coming up with algae. The guy in front of me was partly in the water, and his pictures I’m sure are outstanding. Mine didn’t turn out too badly.
The rookery was a magical place. I hope I find something similar down here.
